The “Experience Macau Roadshow in Madrid” will take to the streets of the Spanish capital from today until April 21.

The event is the first large-scale promotional campaign conducted by the Macao SAR Government in Spain and forms part of efforts to attract more international visitors and leverage Macau’s role as a “precise connector” between the Chinese mainland and Spanish-speaking countries, according to the Macao Government Tourism Office.

Held in the heart of Madrid at the Puente del Rey pedestrian zone, the event showcases Macau’s tourism, culture, trade and sports offerings.

A range of activities will be featured, including a gastronomy showcase and a travel trade session aimed at raising Macau’s profile as a destination in Spain and expanding international visitor source markets.

The street promotion invites the public to “Experience Macau” through four themed exhibition zones featuring 20 booths.

A “Macau Night” event, featuring guest appearances and stage performances, will be held on the final day to conclude the campaign.

As part of the programme, Soy Kitchen, a Chinese contemporary fusion restaurant recommended by the Michelin Guide Spain 2026, will host a media and content creators luncheon highlighting Macau’s gastronomy.

The Macau-themed menu at Soy Kitchen will continue for three months until July 21, curated by head chef Julio Zhang.
