The Poly MGM Museum held its 2026 Silk Roads cultural exchange program on April 11, bringing together more than 500 museum professionals and cultural officials from China and overseas to discuss collaboration and sector development.

The event included the signing of five memoranda of understanding with institutions in Beijing, Xinjiang, Gansu, Shaanxi, and Guangdong, covering cooperation in exhibitions, academic research, and talent training.

Two forums examined the role of museums in facilitating cultural dialogue and explored curatorial approaches to strengthening exchanges between Chinese and Western institutions, with participants highlighting Macau’s position as a meeting point for such initiatives.

The museum also announced a fourth-quarter exhibition on Chinese and Western glass art and introduced updates to its ongoing Silk Roads exhibition. Organizers said the program aims to support sustained partnerships and professional exchange within the museum sector.
