The Transport Bureau (DSAT) reported that buses carried a record 231 million passengers in 2025, marking an average daily ridership of 636,000, up 1.81% from the previous year. November recorded the highest daily average, with 672,000 passengers.

By the end of 2025, Macau had 86 bus routes in operation, served by two companies with a total fleet of 1,010 buses. Over 95% of the fleet consists of environmentally friendly new-energy buses, and the combined workforce includes 1,554 drivers.

In the fourth quarter alone, buses averaged 10,090 trips per day, a 4.67% increase from the same period in 2024.

The busiest route was No. 25, with 27,090 passengers per day, while the least-used route, H1, carried 647 daily passengers. Route No. 26 was the longest at 46.73 kilometers, and H1 the shortest at 3.64 kilometers. Route 21A had the most stops, totaling 76.

The bureau also reported strong uptake of its mobile app, which had been downloaded more than 2.86 million times by year-end.
