Galaxy Arena saw attendance reach nearly full capacity during the semi-finals and finals.

Sanctioned by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), organized by the Sports Bureau of the Macau SAR Government, Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) and World Table Tennis Management Group Limited (WTMG), and co-organized by the Macau Table Tennis General Association, the seven-day “ITTF Men’s and Women’s World Cup Macao 2026 Presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group” was successfully staged at the Galaxy Arena. The tournament concluded with Chinese players Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha being crowned men’s and women’s champions respectively.

The successful staging of the event marked GEG’s third consecutive year as the presenting partner and an organizer of the ITTF World Cup Macao, reflecting its continued support for Macau’s development as a “City of Sports”. With the support of other organizers, GEG further extended the impact of the tournament by curating a series of related activities, including “Celebrating ITTF Centenary – GEG Macau Special Olympics Inclusive Table Tennis Fun Day 2026”, the “DIY Table Tennis Ball Night Light Inclusive Workshop”, and players autograph sessions. Additionally, GEG invited students to participate in the “World Cup Second Classroom” hosted by the organizing committee, while its representative also joined the “Celebration of ITTF Centenary” event. Together, these activities enhanced the tournament experience and supported the integration of “tourism + sports” in Macau.
