The Public Security Police Force (PSP) fined 84 pedestrians for unlawful street crossing last week. According to the force, each person was fined MOP300 for failing to comply with traffic rules while crossing roads and streets. Fines were issued for crossing while the pedestrian light was red, crossing away from a crosswalk when one was within 50 meters, and ignoring signage directing pedestrians to use a flyover, among other violations. PSP also warned road users not to engage in conduct that obstructs traffic, endangers the safety of others, or causes inconvenience, noting that several people have been repeatedly seen taking photos and videos on public roads.
