The Public Security Police Force and the Labour Affairs Bureau apprehended 50 people in February on suspicion of working illegally in Macau. The suspected illegal workers were found during joint inspections at 417 locations, including construction sites, private buildings, and commercial and industrial establishments. The number represents a return to the results seen in December last year (55), after a significant month-on-month increase in January, when 79 suspects were found. With two months in, the average monthly number of illegal workers found by authorities is 65. For the full year of 2025, the average monthly number was 72.
